The University of Edinburgh is one of the oldest universities in the UK, having been founded in 1583. It’s currently home to around 27,500 students spread across 22 different schools. In the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF), 83% of the university’s research was considered as either “internationally excellent” or “world-leading”.
